Love it when the water warms up a little and the cats go on the bite.... Local ponds.... sucker fish cut bait marinated in garlic powder.... slip sinker rig... 5/0 Circle hooks....
You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......

Great pics. I recently did a trip to a local private pond in my buddies neighborhood where I have permission. Caught and kept a bunch of pan fish. They were vacuum sealed in packs of 4 and frozen. I’m ready to go now myself.
Garlic on the cut bait? I’ve done the jello/garlic thing on chicken breasts but it didn’t yield anything of note.

I’ve fished the cut-bait marinated in the garlic, side by side with the fresh non-marinated.... even off the same suckerfish.... and it definitely generates more bites.

Interesting, good to know. I’ll try that myself. Thanks.
