Well, we're a week off from the opener here. I'm getting ramped up to wet a line. No long trip north for me this year. I'll be staying close to home on some metro lakes. On early and off before the pleasure boating crowd comes out. I'll spend this week finishing off the boat, and then out for a test run on Friday so I'm not the idiot tying up the ramp on Saturday morning. Good luck to everyone headed out fishing.
Look for a kid to take out fishing who otherwise might not get the chance. It's on us old farts to show these kids what this is all about, and with so many single parent families, they often don't get an opportunity.
I wanted to go for Perch with him Sunday, but he’s wanting to go wack a turkey behind his house. So I’ll be in the ghillie suit Sunday and I’m going for Perch & Walleye Monday with my fishing partner.
