I ran that serial number on oldguns.net and it says it was made in 1891.
I have a buddy that collects them and I�ll check with him for you.

Sorry it took so long but my friend has been out of town.
He said that that model is probably worth somewhere between $1,000.00 and $400.00 bucks depending on how original it is and what sort of shape its in.

Thanks Rick, I gotta get off my duff and get some pic's posted so all can see.Just got outbid on ebay on a nice Cannon camera.
I'm going to sell several guns down the road and to do it right, gotta take some pic's.

According to my friend the carbine models are always going to be worth a bit more than the rifle versions. Unfortunately, the model you have is not one of the ones that brings the really big bucks with collectors. Doesn�t mean it isn�t a great rifle worth some money, but just not as desirable to clloectors as some of the others that go for double digits.
