I received this Winchester Model 70 from a good friend. Unfortunately the original box is long gone and I can't identify the particular series. I looked on the Winchester website, searching old and new models, but I couldn't find a picture of it. It has a 24" stainless sporter barrel, black synthetic stock, box magazine, no sights, and is chambered in 300 WSM. Also, the serial number is G 386978. Can anyone tell me the manufacturing date ? That might help identify the series. Thanks for any help.

Push feed or CRF?

sorry,I just checked. It is not push feed, it is CRF.

WSM push feed? If it isn't a classic it would have the modified extractor on it. I think it is the up grade between the shadow and the classic. But I don't remember the series they called it. Somebody smarter that me will come along and straighten me out.

Also-- the serial number is G386978. Can anyone tell me when it was made ?

2002 classic stainless.
