Just testing all my options. What is the opinion on this model. I am considering purchasing a springfield XD but not set just yet still looking and trying to find out which will stand up to and average amount of shooting. Also would like one that is consistent. No feed problems or jams. Not to mention a good shooter. (average amount of shooting, Weekend target maybe average couple hundred or so). Do they handle reloads well to?

I don't know if you made your decision yet, but I owned a Walther 99 and it jam a couple of time with the Rem. HPs that I was running though it. This occurred right at the begining and the firearm was not broke in yet.

I didn't keep the gun that long as it always pinched the pad of my trigger finger at the bottom of the trigger. My hands aren't that fleshy, but possibly my technique was not compatable with that trigger group.

I did like the gun overall, and would possibly buy the 99 QA (quick action) model....though a lot of money for a maybe, says I. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

The Springfield doesn't light my fire, but that's just me. Their 1911s are a different story.
