I am in the market for a portable target. I want some thing I can shoot in my garage and I can carry with me in the woods to shoot. I also shoot blunts so I already know about stump shooting. I have a bad shoulder and I need to shoot a little bit every day and I don't have the luxery of owning any land where I can set up a target. I want a target that I can carry with me in the truck to shoot after scouting and hiking with the dogs. We used a older block but after awhile with broadheads it starting to pull out and made a real mess?

Thanks

I've had good success with Morrell Yellow Jacket targets. I have one for field points (bag target) and one for broadheads (like a block) The bag target actually wears out before the BH target, but I shoot fp's everyday in the back yard starting in July. I think both of them were somewhere around $40.

Our archery club will be trying some Pacific Bow Butts on our practice range instead of excelsior. PBB makes some small personal sized butts also.

I use a Morrel Eternity target with field points in camp, and have some ethafoam sheets glued together for broadheads. Had a Yellow Jacket in camp last year for broadheads, but it had a cardboard box inside to hold some of the foam pieces together, which made broadhead removal difficut as the back edge of the blades would catch on the cardboard when pulling the arrow out.

I had the old Block, and it lasted a few years. I left it outside with a few shingles hanging over it, so that probably didn't help the life any. I have the Block 4x4 now. It seems much tougher. A little harder to pull the arrows out, wich is probably a good thing for now. It has no problem stopping my X-bow bolts at well over 300fps.

+1 on the Yellow Jacket. I have the bag and the broadhead cube.

I had the "Block" about three years ago. I won't make that mistake again.
