A friend I shot with a lot got me started doing long range, out to 100 yards.
He taught me to tune arrows to fly well at 20-30 yards bare shaft. Of course the bow has to be tuned perfectly as well. What I learned shooting at extended range of 50 yards and beyond is that you need to take all the "wrong" out of both the arrow and bow before you got much for results between your ears. After that shooting a few hundred arrows per week at extended range took bad for and bad habits out of your shooting. or you just did not get better.
One thing I found to help considerably was ultra light, ultra skinny arrows. Much like a well tuned well matched set o arrows, they helped show me things I was doing that were hurting my shots.
