I have a M94 Timber Carbine in .444 marlin - one of those with the hideous "safety". It has convieniently fallen out, with a little help.

I remember a post(s) awhile back (might be years) about trimming out those holes with screws, but can't find info. Anybody remember?

I cut the head from a case and epoxied it over the hole on the right side of my .45 Colt trapper. Most people like it. The left side escapes unmolested until I come up with the right "look"...

Hey ST..ya got any pics of that mod? I've missed a couple porkers because my stupid hammer block safety was engaged. Might want to do the same on my Marlin!

Geeze, Louise. It's been a month since I was here. Sorry I did not get back to you. I am too computer illiterate to send pictures, but I just took a fired ,45 Colt case and cut it real close to the head, I used good epoxy and glued it to the receiver, using enough to overlao the receiver inside just a little bit for extra reinforcement. It has held so far.
