After a 20 year hiatus, I am getting back into bow hunting and WOW things have changed. Has any one here used RamCat pivoting broadheads and can provide any experience/ opinion, whether good or bad? These look intriguing and I have a buddy who swears by them on elk and whitetail. Looking for more data than a sample of one.

I like them on whitetail for sure maybe elk. Elk through the ribs they should be fine. The blades will curl a little on bone and seem to dull a little more than my magnus black hornets do after recovery. They fly great and have not let me down in the 3 mature bucks I have shot with them. My last shot went through the shoulder blade of a mature deer with no broken blades. I shoot the 125 gr version. The Ramcat is a great broadhead. with 3 helical blades they fly straight. I use the 125gr on an 18" Zombie Slayer with a Matrix 355. They have gone through bear and deer at 30yrds. They are also sharpened on both sides of blade so they cut in reverse if trying to be pulled out. I am not a mechanical broadhead lover because of a couple malfunctions to open. T he Ramcats will not dissapoint you.
