well if it's an actual "kicker" it will probably have a deeper gear ratio as well. Sometime guys just call em "kickers" but they're 9.9 or 8hp motors.

that one is probably just an 8hp. It's 2 stroke for one. Suzuki is a hellova motor though.

Did your big day go well?

well as it turned out it went well. I got a new Job offer today and took it, big bump in pay and they provide a house. I'll be managing 28k+ acres for wildlife in western SD.

I used 1 1/4"angle aluminum for supports under the 1/2" ply and between it I glued 1" closed cell foam insulation board between the supports. between the seats I'll replace the old stuff and fill with the same foam I used for the floor. I found a lot of great info on tinboats.net on what to do. they have a formula for how much foam you need and I think I'm over the minimum by a lil bit.I'd be happy to give you more info if you'd like.

Buschy- I got an 85 9.8 hp merc from my uncle. just been serviced and ready to go. traded my 3.3 with a little bit of cash, he practically gave it to me.
hopefully the maiden voyage is next week. fingers crossed!

Working, saving old hot rods.

Trying to pay the bills, keep the lights in.

My god its hard on an old body.

That's OK though, my biggest thing is trying to work hard enough so I can get a free minute to do something fun with the wife and kids, lol.

We had a string of graduation ceremonies and parties to go to this spring, always fun.

Looking forward to the first mowing trip out at camp chicken buck.

I will be moving 8 miles, so it will be easy. not sure if we're going to sell our house or rent it. might just sell so we don't have to worry about it.

I also drew a black hills bull elk tag. had less than 1% chance at it. I think I'm gonna buy a powerball ticket now

Now the big question.... Is this going to screw up my deer hunting or make it better? grin

Look into selling it. You'll be close at only 8 miles away but you'll be the man of the hour...ANY HOUR to fix something if it goes wrong. We're all fairly handy around here but at 3am I'm damn sure not going to go look at a furnace. laugh
