I reckon we wus dragging up the rear, so to speak.
For waterers, we just used the pond or creeck.
For hog feeders, we just made a wooden trouft.

The hog feeder was a God send. We kept hogs at my aunt's, so it was great to fill the thing and be done with them for 3 or 4 days. She watched over them and the crick watered them.
Bought it off an old farmer, rusted to junk. We hammered corrugated roofing flat, and pop riveted it in place to patch the thing up.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
