This long-distance rifle match will have a Hunter Class with about 40 targets from 100 to 350 yards (about), and a Precision Class with about 60 targets between 300 and 1,000 yards (about). Participants may enter whichever class they wish - not both classes.

All targets will be steel plates, scored hit or miss. Every shot will be scored. No trophies; no prizes. Just shooting.

There will be approximately eight shooting positions (designated places to shoot from), with targets at odd but known distances downrange from each shooting position.

Shane, that looks like a lot of fun. We run something similar here at my gun club every spring - but we really ought to do it for the hunters again in the fall, about a week or two before general deer season...

Please post some photos of the shoot afterwards.
