Well this is worrisome. I hope to go back to South Africa next year. Countries are banning flights already over fears about this new variant. Hope it gets sorted out and is not as bad as feared. My 2020 trip was postponed to 2021. I’ll be 80 in February so postponing things is becoming more problematic. 😉

By 2022 hunting season this “variant” will have run its course. By then we will have a new variant.

Short term, this may effect outfitters coming in for the big shows in January.

GOING TO BE CONSTANT VARIANTS. This will never end. As planned. Going to break every business until the deep state does the great reset.

This is a terrible gut punch for African hunting. I fear that many safari operators who hung on for the last 2 seasons may not make it through yet another year if this travel ban stays in place very long. I’m making a wild ass guess that this negatively affects 75% of all safari companies and PH’s.

I have a safari in Zimbabwe coming up in august of 2022.

Like you, I hope this is sorted out quickly.

Bad enough if you need to cancel, but just imagine being over there right now and trapped with no flight out. Do you get a mud hut for the duration of the new pandemic? Maybe fly out through Europe somewhere, but the news this morning said that 61 folks from South Africa just flew into the Netherlands and tested positive for Covid! Damn, here we go again.

I hope it gets worked out before September 2022.

He said the new version has milder symptoms than the first two variants, no deaths, and no hospitalizations, no loss of smell or taste. Symptoms were muscle aches, a mild cough, with a week to 10 days of rest. Seems like it has mutated down. Shots don't work because of so many deviations in the genetic make up.
