Here is my ground blind I been using

This morning I skipped as I had a long drive to work

A job we been wanting to cancel

The snow canceled it for us after 7 am so I went scouting found deer tracks where I wanted to build another ambush

Decided to back track …..,,,,, one of them walked 10 feet from ground blind I should have been sitting B 4 light

Feeling cursed here in the gopher state

I had similar luck in Ks. Had two ground blinds. The camera had deer at the “other” blind several times when I was hunting.

I remember one deal where the deer, it was a larger buck …..was bedded where I believe it saw me walk into my blind.

I was using doe scent and his tracks would go right up to the deposit.

Only when I changed my approach did I start seeing him.

I built a permanent tree stand closer…..too close to his bedding area, never saw it again.

One time a smaller buck walked up to me in that stand, it was snowing good. I had a muzzle loader, (it wasn’t very accurate in my hands) . I shot , the smoke rolled away, no deer .I finally couldn’t take it. I walked the 15 yards to where I had last saw it. It jumped up!

The bugger had gone to bed in the tall swamp grass.

I don't mind it for telling me whats around generally speaking.

Or the phone ones to alert with the pigs are going through so I can get up and get the thermal fired up.

That said I'll never get so hung up on it that it drives me nuts.

Its a good cat and mouse game. And it should stay that way.
