Found this guy Friday afternoon. Much the same story as last year, just got into my spot - saw an elk - closed the gap and whacked him. 3 hours of hunting! 5 hours total for 2 bulls in the last 2 years! About 3 times that hauling that suckers out, but I'm getting over it and will be ready for next year. Congrats,
I find it hard to let any Elk with walk past me (with a rifle let alone a bow)if I have a tag for it even if I have all the time in the world to hunt. Good Job

Blacktail53 - It's a Hoyt Ultratec - '03 model 60# 29" Draw, shooting Easton Buckeye arrows with muzzy 90 grain broadheads 400 gr total at a bit over 270fps. I keep thinking I need a new bow each year and shoot the new models, then I shoot this one and well I just haven't found anything I like better - yet.

Thanks saddlering - I've got a teenage boy in the house and let me tell you - an extra 100# of hamburger is a welcome attition to the freezer! - That kid never stops eating!
