I'm currently looking for H1000 and having trouble finding reputable sources. Hoping someone here knows of a company that sells online, (local source is dry and has been for a while). I also want to know of other powders that are close to or equil to H1000 and where I could get them.

Thankyou and shoot tight groups

I settled for IMR 7828 ssc. Wasn't what I wanted but worked decent in my LAW 300 WM. Good luck in your search. I've been looking for H1000 for the past 10-11 months. No luck

I've heard that AA LRT is a viable substitute and it's available at Powder Valley.

You guys must be loading some real heavies to be needing H1000 and 7828 in your 300wm's.. 2 months ago, there was 10 pounds of H1000 on the LGS shelves. Figured they had made a bunch and distributed it out to retailers. I don't use that powder for anything, so it sat on the shelves for a while..

Closest alternative to H1000 is Ramshot Magnum but it's hard to find right now also. Not sure what cartridge you are shooting but LRT is slower but similar to Retumbo and produces consistent results. In my 300 RUM in place of Retumbo I've developed sub MOA loads with LRT for 200gr recently and have been shooting 220gr loads with 24N41 for some time now. 24N41 is similar to RL33 but acts just a touch faster despite what some manual burn charts list. IMR7828 is much faster than H1000.

I have found H1000 to be a very accurate powder, in whatever I have used it in... even on barrels that are close to "shot out"...

cant' tell ya why, it just works so I never questioned it....even if its too slow according to the 'experts'....

people seem to claim RL 26 is the cat's meow for that sort of accuracy in anything from a 243 and up....

having used both... I have found H 1000 to be the more accurate of the two... regardless of caliber or bullet weight, when compared side to side...

3 lbs will hold me for a while. If you also have 7828 I'll take 3 lbs of it.
