Seems like Sierra hasn't built diddley squat since this crap started. Been looking for 69TMK's since Joe killed our country with no luck.

Match Kings aren't hard to come by. They are likely concentrating on what they have most orders for.

The 65 GK has been my favorite .223 bullet for slow twist barrels since well before the plague. Apparently it was also favored by many others as this bullet was often in short supply or unavailable even several years ago.

Are you thinking of the 63 grain Sierra?

I also have a rifle that likes the 65gr GKBT, but there are none to be found on shelves. Seems like a good general purpose AR bullet.

I stocked up on 65's and 63's when I found them. As a side note, I bought some Speer 62 grain Gold Dots today.

No, I'm talking about the 65 GK, but the 63 is also a good, accurate bullet.

The reason I asked is because you wrote "slow twist" in your post, and the 65 grain Game Kings I have are not for slow twist barrels. On the label Sierra recommends 7 to 10 inch twists. The semi-pointed 63 was known as the slow twist bullet.

I apologize for not giving more thought to what I was typing. I meant "fast" twist. I've used the 65 GK in three 1 in 7" Colt barrels and a 1 in 9" CZ barrel. The 65 GK shot very well in all of them with accuracy identical to the 69 MK, at least up to 200 yards, as far as I've tried them. In the 1 in 12" bore of my Ruger 77 MKII bolt-action, 100 yard group size is about 2" or more.

I was using quite a few of the 65 GK well before the shortages, but noticed steadily rising prices on Sierra bullets and a frequent lack of availability even then, so I started buying a few boxes every time Powder Valley had them in stock.

Thanks, but I'm set all right for a while. I've shifted my 223 shooting to a large stash of Ballistic Tips and N133 I scored a deal on before the madness.
