Well, Primos is a Bushnell company, now. And Bushnell has not been known for stellar customer service.,

I think you were right. I think it was stressed when it was set in the wood pot. Whatever the cause, it was junk.

Even when a tree is cut the wood remains somewhat alive its usefull life....it expands and contracts when it takes on and let's off moisture. Glass and slate does not expand or contract.

A wood pot call is set iup for failure unless that is taken into consideration during the manufacture.
