All shots taken at 40 yards.

Browning BPS 20 gauge 28" Carlsons TSS .565 choke tube.

TSS #9

TSS #7

20 gauge Double XX #5 doesn't seem to make the 20 gauge a viable 40 yard gun. TSS #7 and #9 definitely do.

Winchester Longbeard XR 3" #5 - 40 yards

This is the only gun I have that hits right where the red dot front sight is at 40 yards.

One of the best 40 yard buckshot patterns I've seen.

Buckshot pattern is very good.
I would stick with TSS for the 20 ga and LB on the 12

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

That buckshot pattern was the best of 5. This was the worst of five. Not sure what happened here. Every shot except this shot one kept 50% or more of the pellets in a 12" square. The Carlsons does a bit better with 3.5" 15 pellet 00 buck than my Kicks Buck Kicker full.

My 26" BPS 20 gauge patterns great with Federal Mag Shok 1 5/16 oz. #5's using the factory full choke. Thankfully I have several boxes of the Federal stuff stashed so won't be needing any TSS loads in my lifetime.

I'm pleased with those patterns. I'm pretty impressed with all the Carlsons chokes I have. They all pattern very well.

I also have a Kicks Gobblin' Thunder .680 for my A5. The Carlsons Extended Turkey Choke and the Longbeard chokes, both in .665, expectedly I guess, does pattern #5 tighter. The Carlson Buckshot Choke in .710 also patterns a little tighter than my Kicks Buck Kicker full. So the Carlsons turned out to be pretty good buys.
