Greg, brother, you are a deer hunter. You don't know crap about elk. This is a hunt of a lifetime. Please do your research. There is plenty of info in this Elk sub-forum. You need a 300 WBY. No need to risk it on this hunt of a lifetime. Take note of what Governor's tag holders use. Be like them. Solid advice from someone who’s never seen a elk, let alone kill one. 👍 Some folks get to hunt elk every year, no applying and crossing fingers.👊🏻🤞

My card got hit, so based on my app, I know I have Rifle, last week of Sep. Either "Any" or "Antlerless." Odds favor "Antlerless" but hoping for "Any." Should know this week, I expect.
