Funny how many old farts think the 300 Win Mag will leave nothing but legs or take the face off an elephant! LOL You must be using the wrong bullet Hig if you aren't getting those sorta terminal effects from your 300..

I outgrew the 300 Win Mag 22 years ago Actually the old farts were around and doing very well before the 300 Win ever showed up. lol

I wasn’t getting quite that affect from a 300 Win, so I jumped to a 30-378, which left me with cremation dust.
I’ve settled on a 300 RUM. Gutted and field cook at the same time. What’s not to like?

An AR loaded with 5.56 fmj ammo does far more damage. Just ask my pards father in law, he heard so on CNN. He said if anybody is using an AR on our hog hunt in Oct he won't be hunting, too dangerous.
