That is one thing that I have never been able to bring myself to try; I'm not sure why. Maybe because it looks like, smells like and tastes like shad sides for catching catfish.

I tried going vegan, but then realized it was a big missed steak.

I’m very fond of the ‘Vita’ Wild Herring in Wine Sauce. Delicious with the onions and whatever else they put in it. I go thru a jar a month. Think I’ll have a couple pieces right now.

+1 on the Rye Crisp crackers with herring, I like both the wine sauce and the sour cream versions.
