Nice! Shades of the .401 Winchester. X frame revolver possibilities too.

6.8 SPC straight wall with a 10mm bullet stuffed in it.

I've had the 400 Buckhammer for several years its .40" and 1.8" length.....its faster than the 350 Legend will shoot faster and flatter than the 450 Bushmaster....operating pressure is 60'000 psi so only in a AR-10, single shot or bolt actions....
I use Cutting Edge Bullets 165 gr. all copper bullet so can be used in any State....

Having been the owner of a couple .450 Bushmasters, and a current owner of three .350 Legends, I’ve been wanting a .400 for several years.

The 450 kick a bit too much, and a couple times the results from the 350’s have been less than stellar.

Plenty of straight wall only states to market it too I geuss....
Winchester can't make .243 or .270 for the shelves around here for the cats looking for those.
I can foresee dozens of boxes of this sitting on the shelves just like The 350 legend stuff for months on end after the intial brew haha dies down from it...

Too each their own of course....

We should change the 444 Marlin name to 44 Legend, it still best every one of them.

220 gr Underwood at 2,660fps

265gr Hornady at 2,400fps

So, basically a 10mm Maximum....

Back in the '80s, Winchester played with a ".400 Winchester", which was a .356 case blown out. Layne Simpson said he was shown samples of the cartridge.
