I have a sendero in 300 weatherby. Hunting an area where I could shoot up to 800 yards. Anyone have a sendero you have worked up a load for so I have a starting point to go from? Thanks in advance for any info you fellas can provide.

Guy I used to shoot with ran 7828 with 215’s and 180 AB’s. He had good accuracy and took 11 bulls at distances out to 600. The rifle was a Sendero.

Shooting whitetail deer. I know it’s a big gun for deer but I want to set it up for distance. I just love the Remington Senderos. Thanks for the info

The 300 Wetherby is a popular cartridge for long range hunting in Pa.
And the Rem Sendero is popular among those who prefer to move around while hunting as opposed to setting up at a permanent location.
Bullets in the 190 to 200 gr class would be a good choice.
There would be quite a few good powder selections, but for sure try 7828.

Is their a bullet weight and a bullet brand you prefer?
Some heavy Hornady ELD-M's will be lights out.
Retumbo would be my starting point.

200 grain
H-1000 Starting 79.0 - Max 85.0C
Retumbo Starting 80.0 - Max 85.5C
IMR 8133 Starting 81.6 - Max 87.5C

These three powders should give you better MV's than IMR 7828 with 200 grain bullets and they should have higher MV's with 220's too.

with 220's:
H1000 77.0 - 82.5
Retumbo 79.0 - 84.0C
IMR 7828 70.0 - 75.3
IMR 8133 81.2 - 87.5C

Sort of depends on what you've currently got or have access to. If you don't already have R25/26, H1000, Retumbo, or VV 570 and are looking to start from scratch I'd look @ the new Start-Ball HD, Ramshot Magnum, or Ramshot LRT.

First off, I don’t own the Sendero 300 Weatherby. But I do own a Sendero 300 win mag and 300 ultra mag. Both shooting 210 berger vlds over h1000. Both guns will shoot 1/2moa. Both guns have been shot at 1000yds with the ultra going to 1900yds. I wouldn’t recommend anything less than 210s.

I have killed a lot of deer with a 300 Wby ( Sako). I used 165, 168, 180 and 200 grain. The 200 grain Bergers are great. I use R22, 4831SC, Magpro and VV N560.
