Does anybody own, or have any experience with Sanders Armory uppers. I'm not really a gas gun guy. Shot one quit a bit when I was in the Army back in the 70's. I haven't shot one since until about six months ago. I got a good deal on a Colt match Target HBAR. I put a Rise Armament trigger in it and it shoots pretty good. Anyway, I'm looking to get an upper for my granddaughter to shoot her first deer with. She will be 10 years old and she has mastered her .22, she is ready. The Sanders Armory uppers appear to be a pretty nice upper for the price. I'm not looking for a Bargain basement upper. But I don't want to shell out the coin for a bartlien, krieger, or lilja barrel. just a good middle of the road gun that will group 123's 1 moa.

223 with right bullets will kill any deer or pig that walks..
6.5 grendel is fine too.
Lately I've killed quite a bit in 223 with 40 vmax. Pigs to 200. Deer to 150. Pounds. Etc... Usually run heavier though. Or at least TTSX like 50 ttsx work really good for us.
No experience with the brand you say. But most any gun these days is capable of 2 moa or less with the right ammo. Yes there are some that won't. But they are rare.

I already have the 223. I know they will kill a deer. Looking for something that will leave a little bigger exit hole. Its very thick where I hunt. I want to try something else. Decided on the 6.5 grendel. I really like the 6.5's, I have a 260 and a 6.5 Creedmoor, Both bolt guns. Both do a great job on Whitetail. I just think the 6.5 Grendel would be fun in a gas gun. And very light recoil with a muzzle brake for a 10 year old.

The 6.5 Grendel is a great whitetail cartridge. I suggest going to this forum and asking about the Sanders upper - https://www.65grendel.com/forum/

my experience with the grendel is that pigs and deer run further shot with it than with a 223. But that may not hold true.
Last deer shot with grendel and TTSX never left a drop of blood that we could tell. DIdn't take the dog long to find it 100 yards away though. Had better luck with ELD X and SST. Only shot a few with 123 scenar so far so no real data points there.
The grendel will be fine if you just have that urge to use it instead of the 223.
Wish you best of luck. as noted most barrels will be ok. Even the cheapest Bear Creek we bought a month or so ago was inside MOA with lapua and MOA and just over with others.

Thanks for the info. I have also had good luck with ELD X, SST, and Scenar's in my other 6.5's. All leave a nice exit hole. But for some reason the TTSX's just don't group well for me in my 260 or my 6.5 Creed.

My psa grendel upper is one hell of a shooter. It’s a 20” ss. Dime sized groups at 100 yds and under 1 1/2 “ at 300 yds. 120 gr seirra sp , 8208 powder and cci magnum primers. The switch to magnum primers really tightened up my groups.

I have a Sanders 7.62x39 upper quality seems good for the price. I haven't put it on sand bags or bench and tested accuracy, but just plinking about 300 rounds with no hiccups with steel cases at cans shotgun shells ect.

I bought a Sanders 18" match grade upper about 5 or six years ago. Very accurate, shoots anything it's fed. I've shot 3 or 4 different loads and some factory ammo. It all shot close to the POA. I found the Hornady 123 grain SST to shoot so well, and kill so well (with right shot placement), that's all I use . I load the SST about the same OAL as the factory round (about 2.245), and 28.0 gr AR Comp. Chrono's around 2500 fps, and shot placed on the shoulder produces a "bang flop" almost everytime...IF I hit where I'm aiming On top of good products, they are great folks to do business with. You probably have bought something by now, but I just thought I'd put in my two cents. Hope you have good luck and a good time with whatever you get. As for killing power, one the guards that rides perimeter at a prison near here, shoots hogs with an old Remington Nylon 66 22 LR. (just like the one I was given in 1962) KILL ALL THE HOGS YOU CAN, THANK YOU

Kelly’s service is great and his uppers are great too. I have 1 of his Grendel’s and 2 of his 5.56’s They all shoot well. My daughter is using one for deer hunting this year with me. A 1” group would be a disappointment. They all shoot better that that
