Sure appears to be a Blackburn bottom metal and perhaps a brown precision. Hoping some folks chime in. Can anybody identify the brand of front sight?

I don't really know, but the front sight looks Rugeresque.

Aren't Ruger tenon threads smaller than Rem 700 threads?

Aren't Ruger tenon threads smaller than Rem 700 threads? You just throw an adapter bushing in there, easy-peasy.

Looks like a Recknagel bolt sleeve w/safety. Sights appear to be Ruger.

Going to guess Sunny Hill bottom metal. Floor plate doesn't look thick enough to be Williams, and I don't recall ever seeing Blackburn metal for the 700. Not PTG.

Aren't Ruger tenon threads smaller than Rem 700 threads? Yup, but same pitch, quick job to turn down Rem 1.062 to 1.000...but why would you? Rem bbl on a 77 or Win 70...yuk.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I confirmed it’s a custom SS barrel, not a reused Ruger barrel. I agree on Ruger sights. They can be purchased directly from Midway or other various shops.

Looks like a Bell & Carlson stock, Ruger sights, Model 70-type safety, and custom bottom metal. Pretty nice score. How does it shoot? Also, you'll need this: https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/4015986/1/good-7x57-mauser-loadsOkie John

If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

One of the reasons I think it’s a Brown Precision. The paint and texture. Also the grip profile. Brown Precision

It's a good looking rig but someone put the gas pedal on the wrong side...

Nice looking rifle in a wonderful cartridge. I could put a nice scope on it and hunt a lifetime with it. I would probably ditch the mount though.

If it shoots as good as it looks, you've really scored.

I put a front sight that looks a lot like that on my 375 Whelen build. It wasn’t a Ruger. But they do look similar. I’ve never seen a safety like that on a 700, sounds like others have.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Hmmm, nice Rugington. Do let us know how it shoots. I think wheels are starting to turn here.

Curious if the purchaser has shot the rifle yet and how it shoots. Good looking little rifle.
