So I'm looking for a rifle and a comment was made about the amount of rifling.

So what is optimal? This would be a 22-250, heavy bull barrel'd Rifle.

Parallax. I bought a scope, and know nothing about this. I did notice that I had worse groups with my buds rifle and a scope that had adjustable parallax then his fixed scope. Anyone know of any good articles on it, and how to set it for each distance?

22-250, you won't find many variable twist options that I"m aware of. It all depends on what bullet you'll be wanting to use... mine is either 12 or 14 I can't recall, and it'll run 52s and 63s fine so far. Nothing heavier. Want to shoot a 90 in it though and you'll need to be thinking about 8 twist or faster...

Think max ranges first, then decide on bullet by that IE 52s suck for 600 yards.... and then work on twist. Its about length of projectile more so than weight and the length depends on design, IE identical weights could call for different perfect twists..

Parallax, if you have an AO, then to see it, back away from the eyebox till you have a smaller circle of view, wiht black edges, then move your head around, and if the cross hairs move, then its not right, keep adjusting till they are still. I find that even marked AOs are usually off by a bit. And it has to be adjusted for each distance you shoot. Tis not all that complicated or simple either.
