Riflehunter Campfire Regular R Joined: Aug 2021 Posts: 1,653	Thinking of putting a 24" 7 twist barrel on my Swift and running the 77 grain LRX. Nice long neck, 5 in the mag. Have to seat them deeply or get a Wyatt's 3" box. Build it to 7 lbs with scope.

Riflehunter Campfire Regular R Joined: Aug 2021 Posts: 1,653	Often thought of turning down the rim and cutting a new extracter groove to bring the Swift case back to the 6mm Lee Navy specs and getting a new bolt with a smaller bolt-face. Just not sure if the primer pockets would loosen quicker as less metal around them. Feeding in a hunting rifle (as opposed to a varmint rifle where feeding isn't as critical) would then be superb, and might not have to lengthen the box because of the way you stack the Swift in the magazine with its semi-rim. Hosea Sabia in Alaska used the Wilson Arrow version of the Swift a lot as well as those that Ron Spomer mentioned.
