I am looking for a Win factory long action stock for a Classic featherweight. Having no luck so far. I have found some aftermarket stocks, but they all seem to be for short actions. Other than McMillan, what are my options. Thanks in advance.

There was one listed in the Classifieds that just sold a day or two ago. It was a factory synthetic winchester FW stock.

Winchester made a version they called the "All Terrain Rifle". It was a Featherweight barrel profile, but they didn't call it a Featherweight. They came with a cheap plastic stock. You might expand your search for an All Terrain rifle stock and find something. Some upgraded to a better stock and there are probably some take-offs out there for sale.

I had one in 30-06, put a McMIllan on it and sold the factory stock here. But that was a few years ago.

I found this ad. They are calling it an All Terrain Featherweight. Which isn't exactly correct. Technically it was a Featheweight, but the word Featherweight wasn't on the box or rifle.

Keep in mind that the Classics came with 2 piece bottom metal. Most of the newer aftermarket stocks are designed or 1 piece bottom metal. Be careful before buying. It is possible to convert an older rifle to newer 1 piece bottom metal, but that adds considerably to cost.

One of those cheap plastic all terrain stocks sold for $150 in the classifieds in the last couple days. Not so cheap any longer.

Other than micky, Brown and Bansner offer fw barrel channel options available for 2 piece BM.

They are fairly hard to find, but are not bad stocks. I actually don't mind the tupperware stocks. They work well after properly glass bedding. Prices sure have gone up on these ones in particular. You would probably be better off, just buying a Bansner, B&C or similar stock.

Appreciate the info, guys. I would definitely settle for a B&C, but last I checked they don’t offer one.

They offer one, but it would require a one piece bottom metal, and it would be a standard sporter barrel channel - which you would need to deal with if you didn’t want a lot of space.

The stock I bought last year would have been ideal. Long action, made for a fwt barreled action, but opened up for a sporter barrel contour:


That is always an option, if you can find one!! I actually really like the ergo's on that one^^^ Great option if trying to keep weight down as well. Keeping that "fwt" down to less than 6.5 pounds. The way they ought to be.

CDNN had them listed for a long time and might still have some.

I've seen them on eBay from time to time.
