Spent some time with one this weekend, no accuracy reports or multiple ammo test, just shooting observations. 16"
First shot was a flinch, didn't know what to expect & the safety was on. After that, I was surprised with very pleasant recoil & controllability. The gun was loud, but the brake did it's job. As issued gas screw, ejection was 3 o'clock with surplus 147 grain. One booboo, flash suppresser came loose. Found the crush washer installed backward, fixed that, got correct indexing with good torque. Not disappointed after I found that.
Mild manners for a 7 3/4 lb. 308 semi-auto IMO. Plan to take an M1A along for comparison next time out, but if memory serves, my 18" M1A acts up a bit more with same ammo.
Anybody else tried one of these? I chose it over the 13 ounce lighter & $200 cheaper Ruger SFAR. No buyers remorse yet.

Im interested in a semi 308. Haven't decided what to purchase or build as of yet. Your report is spiking my interest in a Saint.

I bought one about a year and half ago with the main mission of being a suppressed pig-hunting rifle for medium to short ranges. Aside from the muzzle device and the trigger (more of a battle trigger), there's really not much that "needs" doing to make it a decent lightweight carbine for hunting. Of course, being an AR platform, I'm always prone to bolt-ons after the fact to make it just what I want. You can always stash the stock parts in a drawer if you need them in the future. Mine did have accuracy issues initially, as in 6MOA+ groups. Something was obviously very amiss and SA made it right with a new barrel. This cured the problem and mine shoots MOA-ish with the cheap Norma Whitetail ammo, which is fine for pig hunting at 250yds and closer. I swapped out the buttstock for a MagPul STR with Limbsaver, the grip for a MagPul MOE, and the gas block for a click-detent Wojtek unit. It also got some Rustoleum, some M-lok grip panels, QD swivels, and a YHM R2 can. Nothing wrong with the factory buttstock, but the STR doesn't grab my beard and I had it lying around. It's a comfortable rifle to shoot, so long as you don't mind a little weight.
Now with even more aplomb

I want to say it was 4-6 weeks, but can’t recall exactly. They were good about making it right.
