Not a rifle, But I got myself a crossbow on Mother's Day - it's a joke with my wife - I got a mother's Day gift!

Not necessarily a Father's day gift, nor a rifle, but I did buy a new bow. Several, actually.

Decided I wanted to go with a carbon this year, but couldn't decide between which to buy.

So, I just went all in and bought a Hoyt RX-7 Ultra, a Bowtech Carbon One, and a PSE Mach 34. blush

Probably a new 13-14' dipping rod. Looking at the ACC Crappie Stix Crossover plus several others.

Not anymore, when I was younger treating myself to something was an excuse to get something new, don't look at it that way anymore. I don't treat myself, I just get it.

Bought a .22 cal PCP Air Rifle and some quality optics for it. My .25 accounted for 7 woodchucks this week. I find I shoot these far more frequently than 22LR any more.

Bought a Dakota M10 in 6.5X55 from a fire member. Working on shipping vs picking it up personally as I'm going by the seller's residence the end of July. I hate shipping guns especially something this nice. I shipped a boat paddle Ruger to Montana and the box looked like someone hit it with a chain saw.

I always have to. When the impulse hits me I can always choose some occasion to sync it with. Besides, only YOU know exactly what to buy.

Don’t have it yet. I ordered it Sunday, local Cabela’s notified me last night it arrived. I will pick it up tomorrow after work. I hope my scope arrives tomorrow as the scope rings/mounts are here tomorrow from MidwayUSA.

My scope rings and dies came in this afternoon. I took a gamble and ordered a Zerotech Thrive for it. If the eye relief is not what I want, I’ll wait until I return from Europe in late July and buy a Leupold or a Tract scope. If the Zerotech doesn’t work for the Western. It will

Yep! Between my birthday (last week), Father's Day, and my wife nonchalantly introducing a new puppy to the house, I pulled the trigger on a Ruger Gunsite Scout in .308. It should arrive next week sometime. The lefty versions have been missing for quite a while. When one showed up, first thing I did was click Ship, then I sat around trying to decide whether or not to order it. I find sometimes doing things in that order helps! smile

As a FYI - a few years ago my nephew-in-law brought over an old Parker and Hale 25/06. His dad bought it from a neighbor - a widowed woman whose husband had passed. This thing is old, but beautiful and it came with an old hard shell case. One day I pulled the foam inserts from that case and lying underneath was a Christmas gift tag. It read... To: Lester, From: Lester. I thought that was way cool!

Tempted to order up a B&C replacement stock for my model 70 extreme sporter (blued/black nitride version of the extreme weather), just to spiff up looks of the gun.

The original stock is the same model B&C medalist stock in standard black.....black on black....not very sexy...

.so to spice things up with a little contrast ....will run around 3fiddy $$$......same stock model, different color/spider webbing.

At which point I'll have 5 empty original stocks in my black synthetic rifle stock museum.....one of which will be worth 3fiddy $$$.......

Probably wont happen.

I may finish a build for Fathers Day, I have a couple, 3 or six in progress. I did find a used Gilmore 2 MOA dot for a 16" 223 AR-15 truck gun, I need to finish that by sighting it in.
