How many taxpayer dollar's have been spent searching for something the navy knew what happened? [bleep] them and sue for restitution

There are no bodies. The pressure and heat from the implosion probably pulverized them.

Would they have burned?

Not enough time I suspect.
How the fugk can you burn under 13k ft of water rushing in
It's at a molecular level. The water that makes up most of your body will literally boil.

Yes, but for those milliseconds until the surrounding water with its specific heat capacity absorbs that compression-generated heat.

PV=nRT

Two are constants: n,R

If pressure increases greatly and volume stays relatively constant...T can get pretty hot.

High pressures and compressed air superheat the gas that's present. It's the principle that a diesel motor works on. That much pressure gradient in that short timespan would get hotter than shìt.

No burning occurred. Water is extremely resistant to temperature changes. That's why they invented water-cooled engines. 31*F water from an entire ocean at 12,500 ft of depth at 6,000 psi imploding a tiny craft and the little bodies therein would not increase temperatures much, if any, above, 31* in the nano seconds that took.

That applies to gas in a closed system. A ruptured vessel is not a closed system. The gas would compress as far as it would naturally: P1V1 = P2V2. The only temperature change would be between the inner vessel air temperature and the water temperature. That's what I reckon anyway. They went splat.

It's an approximation. The sub would be a pretty good approximation due to the volume not really collapsing much in relation to the massive, almost instantaneous, pressure increase.

But what do I know?

What happens to air and ruptured air tank bubbles at that depth and pressure? Does it surface as undetectable micro bubbles or not even surface at all? Obviously it wouldn't all come up as a huge bubble

Uhm, no thanks. Aren’t real subs made from steel?

Gases become soluble in h2o at high pressures.

Think of blowing up a balloon on a mountain, sealing it, and driving it to sea level...the gases compress under more pressure and the inflated balloon looks "deflated."

Same with h20.

The titanic broke up on the surface and filled with water. It wasn't a closed submarine under extreme pressure with an inside around 1 atm. Big difference.

The boots sank with the ship to 2-1/2 miles below the surface.

This was a pressurized submersible that imploded all at once at that depth.

So ppls remains inside the titanic at the same depth ?
