Their feed/function was/is soooooooo incredibly fhuqking schitty,it's likely the first to be erased from the books/memory. Hint..............
Brad says: "Can't fault Rick for his pity letting you back on the fire... but pity it was and remains. Nothing more, nothing less. A sad little man in a sad little dream."
Of course it fhuqking varies,I actually fhuqking shoot. Hint.
The 17 gets a pass, due projectile profile and it's copper jacket. In 22LR,they shave more than an Italian Barber Shop and that's if/when they actually make it to fhuqking battery. Cite the Make of your mags, for even more oblivious humor. Hint...........

Have you had a chance to shoot your ULA .257 Weatherby yet ? If so how does it shoot?
Hal
Hello Hal. I’ve had a couple of range sessions with it. The first didn’t go so well due to the idiot loading for it (me) accidentally using LP magnum primers vs LR magnum…. Needless to say the first shots were not right which led to me not shooting the couple of factory ammo groups very well. The next trip was better - 75 grn of H1000 under a 100 TTSX did .68 and .82 (if memory serves) along with a .65 or so with Wby factory 100 grain Hornady load. This is about as good as I’ve ever been able to shoot and about what my other Melvins tend to average (.6-.75 if I do my part). I know I have pulled the trigger right when the last thing I see if a big, orange ball of flame!
the 22 worked fine with their mags ...i guess i am to believe you and doubt what i have seen with my own eyes anyway they seem to bring good money for junk if you can find one...
I’ve always loaded my .22 magazine with 4 rounds vs 5 and it does just fine. I do have to pay attention to cleaning the carbon “donut” that builds up and can hold onto a loaded round enough that it won’t come out. It’s easy to see with a bore cam and easy enough to clean with a bit of 0000 on a bore brush.
Melvin told me about the donut one year at shot and when I looked with the bore cam, sure enough there it was.
Love my .22 , it’s more accurate than I can shoot and a great training aid for my centerfire Melvins

Same here. For me, it's a 4 round mag. After making that concession it went from my most irritating rimfire to my favorite.
I've only been around (3) of them and they were frail/fickle fhuqks and an embarrassment for the jingle. While a nice Theory, they were Dog Schit in Application. Hint............
