I had a friend call me about this. You can see the rifle on their website.
Looks pristine. Oct 303 Savage.

www.roan.biz

There are two Savage 99's there, one is quite old and original, and in excellent shape.

Good luck.

You can call them for info. As for Donald Roan, 570-324-2813

Looks like the Savages are drilled. I like the 1895 Whinny in 30-06, looks like it has a Climbing Lyman on it?

Joe, the Savage Octagon is not drilled. Not sure about the other 99.

I think I was looking at the wrong sale? Which date is this one? The one I was looking at had more than two 1899/99's?

Your right, it's the last gun in the list. For some reason I had it in my head you said it was a 95. It has a serial of 4X,XXX. My screen is so blurry I looked at it 4-5 times and couldn't tell it was an octagon. Wish I could see it better. Can't bid, so no sense in in worrying.

I have been to Don's auctions in the past. Out in the middle of nowhere. Think Wellsboro without a redlight and only 100 in population. Sometimes you an get out the door with something pretty cool.
