Since the OP shoots the 270 well to 500 yards, and shots will likely be under 100 yards, I'd be using the 270. I'd just like the extra bullet diameter and energy at these ranges.
Assuming stock Tikkas, the 22.4" barrel of the 270 might also be an slight advantage versus the 24.3" CM barrel on a backpack hunt.
