I've always had good luck with Simpson's rifles. My Husky 1640 came from them. Bore was as advertised.
My on-line buying experience with Simpson LTD has been mixed. My oldest went to college in Galesburg, so whenever I visited her, I tried to put an hour aside to troll through Simpson LTD's racks. They are the kind of old school gun shop that are nostalgic for old guys like me, the kind that we miss. Simpson LTD imports used rifles from Europe by the shipping container load and their inventory is constantly changing. I haven't bought anything from Simpson LTD on-line for awhile, but when I did buy without visiting, I always asked one of the salesmen, usually Floyd, to pull the rifle from the rack and tell me about it while he had it in his hands.
