Does anyone use one? I got one last spring, a 99, eager to try it on a deer and pigs. I have 200 grain Sierras loaded for it. It shot well with them.

I'll be using the one I got last year as my foul weather iron sighted backup this season. 245gr cast RNFP load for me. It does its part out in front of the trigger just dandy if I do my part behind it.

I actually just finally zeroed the sights on it yesterday after work.

that's a fine-looking cast bullet group.

I've shot whitetails with a Marlin 375 and a Savage 99-375 Brush Gun using 200 grain factory loads and the 220 grain Hornady component bullets back in the late 1980s. I like the 220 grain Hornady as they seemed like a better universal, one load for all uses, choice than either the 200 or 250 grain factory loaded bullets. From what I've seen with Winchester factory loads, the 375 WIN with a 200 grain bullet performs like a 35 REM with a 200 grain bullet, assuming like bullet construction.

I have a Contender carbine barrel in 375 . I ,also, used the 200 Sierra bullet on an Iowa deer after the state made straight wall cartridges legal. Good find on the 99 in 375.

Thanks, took me a while and a lot of load fiddling to get there. It likes them fat and slow with a LOT of crimp. .378 have outshot any .376/.377 I tried.

It's plenty good for me at this point. My shots are all going to be inside 75yds where I'm hunting this year.

I've used mine with the 200 gr Sierra bullet in my Marlin .375. My load is a max load out of the Sierra manual. It is running right at 2150 FPS. I have not shot past 120 yds but it was very good at that range. Most of my shots have been between 40 and 100 yds. It is a very good woods deer rifle. One shot kills are the norm with that set up.
Have a great day.

I have a Winchester "Big Bore" that I acquired from a co-worker in 2004 with several boxes of factory 200 & 250 grain bullets.

It has accounted for about 10 deer and about a half a dozen pigs since then using some of the factory ammunition and my handloads w/ Hornady 220 grain bullets and Re7 and H4895 powder.

My stash of 220 grain Hornady bullets has shrunk to 4 boxes; I have added some of the Sierra 200 grain bullets when they were available, but I have yet to try them.

I did install a Williams receiver sight and it's sighted in to be 1.5 inches high at 50 yards.

It's a great walking through the woods rifle.

I had one of the Big Bore model 94's in 375. Had to be the prettiest, shiniest rifle of the M94 variants put out. Hunted with it very little for two years because it got hunted only in very fair weather just too pretty. I used factory ammo and it worked just as well as the 30-30 on deer. The front sight though could cover the entire front end of a Ford truck at 150 yards. Sold it. If Winchester had made it in more of a standard M94 configuration it would have sold more rifles.

I had a marlin 375 when I was in high school but sold it when I was in college and broke. I looked for one for years and finally ordered one of gun broker… yes I paid too much but I righted an old wrong!

My first rifle was a legit 1”-1.25” rifle at 100 yards for three shots shooting the now discontinued 220 hornady. My current rifle shoots about anything I’ve tried to about 2.5” but no deer I’ve ever shot at has complained.

I’ve got a very limited supply of 250gr WW factory pull down bullets as well as about 150 of the 220 hornady bullets. Only bullet Ive ever hunted with is the 220 hornady over Rl7 if I remember correctly. Big hole all the way through and a short run with a big blood trail. Not sure it kills any quicker than a 30-30 but it sure instills confidence. I wish it were more popular but I seriously doubt it’ll ever make a comeback. I never tried the 250 grain Barnes original but it might be worth trying to find. I think midway has them in stock. The 200gr sierras I dug out of my back stop looked very good. I wouldn’t be afraid to use them on deer or pigs. Good luck with your new rifle.

Hanco, I've got a friend that had a single shot 30-30 bored to 375 win. and he loves it. In La. you can shoot any caliber single shot that's .35 and larger, during primitive weapon season. He had this single shot 30-30, but it wasn't legal to use during this season, thus the rebore.

It does a great job on pig, too!

Added: I remember we had a hard time finding 200 gr. bullets for reloading. I finally found some in the classifieds, here on the fire. He could find heaver bullets, but he wanted the 200 gr. If you dont reload, get ready to reach deep in the money sock for the ammo.

The fine guys on here helped me find a good supply of 200 grain Sierras. Lots of good guys here, helped me find .321 bullets for a 32-40 also. A couple of times I’ve mentioned needing something and it shows up in the mail.

If you're in need of more .321s, Graf has Hornady FTX and FN in stock at the moment. Been keeping an eye out for a few things lately and noticed those came in recently.
