I would love to replace a rod end that my son lost while fishing a couple years ago.
I have a Cabelas XML C705-2A rod that the tip was lost. Any options to me?
I like this rod for fishing in northern Canada. Have another 1 or 2 of these rods. Can't get them anymore. So before I throw the lower portion of the rod away, wondering if I can source something to match up and work??

Maybe check with Mudhole
They supply all compnents for rods. May have a generic rod tip that will work.

I have bought them at Walmart here in town. I keep a glue stick in my tacklebox from Lews I think. Hit it with a lighter till it melts spin some around on the rod tip and slide the tip on. Spin it once to spread it then hold in place till it cools off and you're done.

I should clarify. Half the rod was lost. The tip end. The hey we’re wheeling back from the river and the tip-end fell off somewhere. So now I have a 3’ useless rod

Might be hard finding just the top half. You may find a blank and do the top half. In my book it’s a cabelas rod ya there good but since I make my own I see there’s better rods out there for the price you may have to pay just for the top half of the rod.
