yes the end cap compresses the leather stack. I use E120 epoxy for this type of knife because you need a long work time.

Your post shows why real custom knives are expensive and why custom knife makers never get rich. I really enjoy this post.

The green spacers with the brass really pops. I'm not fixated on "looks" for most of the knives I use...but I do appreciate looking at one like that!

It probably belongs somewhere in a museum or on display. But I'm gonna use it and let any marks on it lead to stories...

And I'm grateful to Dan308 for taking this task on. He's been through some deep water...

I have one of Dan’s knives. It is absolutely beautiful and a work of art that I cherish. Thanks again Dan.

Dan, Beautiful knife! Yet, can you provide handle/blade/OAL? Also, blade stock thickness and thickness behind the edge? Also, you said said above CPM154, then later "ramping up to 1950 degrees." What is your full protocol for CPM154 and final hardness? Thanks, Dan...I'm interested cause I have one I'd like kinda duplicated... Edited to add: I just now researched the "sad year" comments... SO sorry, Dan...
