Tell me about your favorite coffee. I'm looking for a new brand. Whole bean is fine as I have a grinder. I do not like dark roast.

Is there a good, inexpensive coffee out there?

I tend to swing from extremes.

Folgers red can for a few and then something "upscale" - I like Bones coffee, Cameron's coffee, Starbucks Caffe Verona are usual grabs. For non-Folgers but cheap - I also like Awake Coffee

Chose your flavors as per your own desires.

I just spoke with a retired program manager from Starbucks. Part of his pension is a big regular shipment of coffee. When he dies, his relatives will have to start paying for their own coffee.

Folgers Silk is worth a try. Everyone's tastes are different, and I also think the way it's brewed comes into play. I am not too picky about coffee though.

Can't help you out with a selection of specific coffee, as I tend to only drink dark coffee, the stronger and blacker the better. Wife likes it that way too, which is convenient.

You might try some of Peet's medium or light roasts though.

Doug at the Cameraland place sent along some Cafe Bustelo and a cup when I made a purchase once. It's pretty darn good commercial coffee.

Grew up with MJB, have no idea if it's still around as I haven't paid attention since I became a snob.

Best advice would be to find a local roaster and try there's as being a snob makes for way better tasting coffee.

Winco moved in here a few years ago, the stores have a large selection of coffee beans, probably 25 or 30, all at very reasonable prices. We went through and tried about all of them that weren't flavored and picked our favorites, I buy any of the dark roasts that catches my fancy that day. Good coffees, iirc $9/pound.

IIRC - you can get McDonald's coffee from Amazon to make at home too.

Douwe Egberts Select Aroma is pretty mild, with tons of aroma.

Helmut Sachers Vienna Blend is our current favorite. Nutty, not acidic, tasty as hell.

Sam’s club Columbian beans. Great taste, not too expensive!
