Man I missed one this morning. Saw it on guns international knew it was a deal as soon as I saw it but had to go to a meeting. Knew it would be gone when I got back. I was right, this work stuff is getting in the way of collecting!!

Hope one of y’all were able to snag it.

Ldg397: Sorry you missed out on that one.
Keep after'em - theres a few more out there.
I'll bet at least 10 or 15 times in my pre-64 Winchester Model 70 collecting (which began in 1968) I told myself I would like to add that Rifle to my collection but I hesitated and did one more lap around the gunshow before jumping on it or seeing one in a gunshop and deciding to "think about it" for a day or two and when I come back for said Rifle it would be gone.
Nope it wasn't me that spoke for that 300 H&H - but I will keep an eye out for one for you (I am trying to "ease back" on my collecting these days).
Let me ask this of you - are you looking for a "collector quality" 300 H&H or a "Hunting quality" 300 H&H?
Good luck to you.

I don’t really collect anything I don’t feel like I couldn’t hunt with. The 300 h&h is on my list and a nice supergrade.

It was special about 95% or better original and about 1900. Must not have been there long at all if no one else saw it.

One thing about them, if the barrel is burned out, they make great actions to build off of. I've seen some 300H&H rifles turned into 300win mag and 338WM. I also run across some that have been rechambered to 300WBY. Bought one in 2019 for less than $500.00 and know where another one is for $800.00. Love the 300WBY cartridge, so it worked out very well with the rifle I got in '19. The H&H is the grand dad of them all. Most that I've seen have shot very well. Kind of a treasure when you find an all original one that has not been messed with.

That's a clean H&H. '61? Very nice. I need to put my PoundR back on my 300 later today.. Seems like these 300's always shoot well.
