Our Ford F150 book says it can be a hotspot. Anyone know how?

All I know is that it's service you pay for monthly. Keep in mind that to act as a hotspot, your computer has to be within WIFI or bluetooth range the pickup. A hotspot enabled phone or a stand alone hotspot device is more versatile and probably costs less.

We haven't had great luck with hotspots from our iPhone's. I put my 14 on Spectrum unlimited at $29.95/month for the trip back up north so that the wife could hotspot to her iPhone and iPad from the passenger seat. It would show she was on the hotspot and a few miles down the road her phone was back on LTE and we were getting charged by the minute. We had the same thing happen at the cottage with a weak signal. It might work better with a strong signal and stationary location. I'm wondering if reading off another cell tower down the road doesn't kick off the hotspot signal?
