We leave next Thursday for Conne River NF. Hunted with them in 2018. 2021 at Tuckamore Lodge and now back to CR.
Two of us are driving with a trailer in town, my son and his friend are flying into Deer Lake. We will pick them up Saturday morning and drive to Conne River Outfitters. We may be able to stay at the camp if it’s ready from the previous hunters, otherwise we will stay 90 minutes North.

Reading your posts about moose hunting in Newfoundland has me wanting to go back. How far back did you book this hunt? Is it back to a 2 year wait like before the plandemic? Good luck to you and your partners.

Wag more, bark less.

The freedoms we surrender today will be the freedoms our grandchildren will never know existed.

The men who wrote the Second Amendment didn't just finish a hunting trip, they just finished liberating a nation.

I think my son booked it November 2021 after we got back from our 2021 hunt with Tuckamore Lodge. We hunted Conne River in 2018 and did a fly in. 6/6 at the lodge and 3 were pretty good size. On one of their marketing pieces was a picture of his bud who shot one at the spike camp last day!

I hunted at camp 8 a few years ago. I shot a small to average moose and a nice caribou. I will never do a drive in camp again. Tons of local hunting pressure. We wound up having to drive a significant amount to another area for the caribou. The moose we were 35 kilometers off the road via quad. In 95 I did their fly in camp to lake medonagonix. I killed a giant caribou the first day, then proceeded to do nothing the rest of the week because my guide was lazy and drunk. Conne River made good for that 20 years later. Thus why I went back.
