Experiment/demo project. Haven't shot it.

Under 5.5 pounds as shown with the Redfield 2-7. 16.75" with 1/2-28" threads and LOP is 12.75"ish.

Chopped rail butt barrel and forearm, hollowed butt, flip-flop pad, 'channeled' forearm, and aggressively slimmed throughout. Multicam Pale Green Cerakote. Might, or might not recoat stock top coat. Epoxy bedded at lug. Fit is snug.

Rifle started bare at 5lb12.7oz.

FWIW
With a 180 ELD-M, COAL at kiss was 3.005". Not bullet of choice here, just one that was handy.

Max mag length I'd go is about 2.825", and looks like there's damned little room to gain without modding the receiver.

Pretty sporting of you to go scopeless and sightless if it's truly staying as pictured.

It's got to be top heavy with those fn rail sections. If it's staying that way, good luck..

You're dreaming. Top heavy because of an ounce of aluminum?

Nice carving job on that stock. I wish I had the skills to trim down the plastic on my howa minis.
