Good advice, no doubt. This machine actually has a warning that appears and tells you to shift into low range. Not that I trust it completely, good judgement is a better indicator.

Throwing this out for anyone who might be interested. Filled up the 2020 Can Am Defender with fuel and the fuel gauge wouldn’t register. After doing some research I found this is a common problem with Can Am and Polaris. The float gets saturated with fuel and no longer floats. It is a function of age not hours or mileage.

On the Defender it is not a difficult repair because the float assembly is easily accessed when the bed is raised. Don’t know about other models or brands. Apparently the solution used to be replace the entire pump assembly which was expensive. Now there are aftermarket floats for less than $20 and people have found other solutions using Ford floats.
