I have posted links to these podcasts before, but given current events, folks looking to educate themselves on the situation that hadn’t listened before might find them interesting. Pretty down the middle explanation that does NOT get told.
This one tracks the history of the area for over three thousand years- - - - -it's definitely not a recent problem, and not much is going to be accomplished to make things better in the short term. The only thing that changes is the efficiency of the weapons the combatants are using- - - - -stone age clubs, spears and archery, to nukes in the not too distant future.

Hoping to keep this on track for at least the first page. Not meant to be a rehash or full of” yeah but “rando post. But freakshow being what it is it won’t take long. For them interested it’s there and time damn well spent.

Really really good info and presentation. Dude reads stacks and stacks of books for every episode he puts out so he can be as educated on it as is practicable.

I ain’t gonna say lucky you because I find to really appreciate this place it helps if you’re from somewhere else which isn’t.
When I looked at that map of the Middle East from space I felt bad for all the poor saps born into that mess where people have been fighting some other people for centuries over postage stamp size bits of real estate.
Whereas I can ride a bicycle for 2,000 miles and still be in the best and freest country the world has ever seen and I don’t gotta be PO’d at anyone. ’Cept my Ex maybe.
