Isn't that a composite stock? If so why not get it cut to the desire length, saving the removed part of the stock, and putting an 1/2-in decelerator pad on it for now. When she out grows the shorter setup, then get the removed part of the stock reattached which - unless it's solid black - will require a repaint. I've probably done 20-25 such jobs, and the "repair" to re-establish the orginal length doesn't add more than an ounce in weight.

Anyway, as involved as that sounds, it's still much cheaper than buying a new stock. PM me if you want to discuss more details.
