Little birdy showed me that hornady is going to release a new 6 mm arc ammo as well as 2 or 3 22 arc cartridges for 2024 đź‘€

Well crap. I was pretty well convinced I wanted a Howa Mini 6 Arc….. I’d rather have a .22 Arc, of course, that was just a re-barrel away. I get that this is the AR section, but what platforms are rumored to be forthcoming in .22 Arc?

Well, yeah. I meant it as all inclusive. AR barrels? Uppers? Complete rifles? Bolt guns ? Whatever.

I shoot both,in a goodly smattering of Turnbolts and Krunchentickers. Hint.
Pass the 1-7" in both. Hint..............

other than " factory" twist rates how much difference is there in 6 arc versus 6ppc and 22 arc versus 22 ppc ? in the terms of real world performance... I do understand one is geared to a AR but what about through a bolt gun

A 22 ARC would SAAMI the 22 predator, no?
That’d be cool since I’m sitting on a TON of 22 heavies for my 22 Creedmoor.

I shoot a goodly herd of Boltguns, chambered thusly. Hint. The PPC is a sedate design, fraught with taper in all the wrong places and a Giraffe neck, for not. The ARC is mechanically muchly fhuqking SUPERIOR. Hint. Pardon my shooting it all and then some. Hint. Fhuqking LAUGHING!.................

I like the 6ARC but will live with the 6Grendel till I shoot out a barrel. Nice little rounds for sure. I could even see a 22 Grendel as a neat toy.

I'm 2 arcs deep at this point and love the cartridge. I'm still hell bent on adding another grendel to the stable, but that 22 arc may come first

I'd though about a valkrie but just couldn't warm up to it. I'm all in for a 22 arc. I like my 6 arc even though I haven't got it to shoot as well as my grendel yet. I've got the 6 down to about .75" with 108s but need to try a few more things. A 22 arc with 88s sounds like a good thing.
