I recently scored a copy of the 1932 Stoeger Arms catalog, this being the predecessor to the Shooter's Bible books . In it, I ran across a listing for a Marlin 410 lever action shotgun, looks to be made on the 1894 action. $32.40 in those days of the Great Depression was a month's wages for a skilled worker if he could find a job.
I have never seen or heard of these before, wonder if anyone here has one?

Ask it on the Marlin Owner's Forum. I'll bet somebody there knows.

Many years ago, hunted geese and mallards in Manitoba for several years.
One of the farmers whose fields we hunted, French Canadian, carried a 10 gauge lever action, 2 7/8" chamber, in his tractor. He would drive up next to the snow geese and blast 'em while tilling the fields. Think it was an Ithaca. No blueing left on it of course. Funny guy.

I know Marlin built some not too long ago and pretty sure Winchester made some but haven't seen a real old .410 lever before. Saw a few 12s.

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

Lever action shotguns were the first repeating shotguns on the market. The Winchester 1887 was the first of the genre. Lever shotguns have been available here and there ever since. In more recent times I think Marlin, Winchester, and Henry have all produced lever .410 shotguns. Kinda a neat thing, but for practical purposes, the lever is beaten by the pump hands down.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

My dad has an old Marlin lever action 410.
When I was probably 12-13 years old I tried cycling a few rounds through it and promptly stuck one halfway in the chamber.

I remember handling a Kessler lever action shotgun years ago in a little gushop upstate,i think it was 16ga. It looked like a Mossberg bolt action shotgun, but with a lever,it had a very short stroke action.

I have a Marlin lever action 410 shotgun and a Norinco copy of the Winchester 1887. I was told the Marlin was a salesman award or demonstration gun. Don’t remember which. You have to work the Norinco sharply or it doesn’t feed right. I think roll crimp ammo would be best.

Based on the model 93 action, you recieved one if you bought $100 worth of stock. barrel lengths 22" and 26" and they only took 2 1/2" 410 shells.I have one with the 22" barrel. Dont know why they had such a heavy forearm. Don
