Friend and I were up there in May and we each got nice bears. Haven't tried to figure out how to post pics on this site though.

Not much of a report for me….shot this interior(ish) bear while sheep hunting. 4-5 yers old, according to the ADFG biologist who checked him in. Nothing special but I won’t pass up an interior bear.

I wonder how the kodiak hunters are doing those that started hunting on 25 October their 15 days ends tomorrow.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Wet and cool and windy most of the time. Typical peninsula fall weather. Bad weather getting worse.
4 clients and all 4 killed bears. A couple of them glad to shoot and get back to normal weather.
Did not kill anything huge but one bear was 9 foot 10 inches which isn't bad.

My buddy went to his usual spot in Unit 17 and stayed the month of September like he usually does. Saw one bear the whole month move through the valley in an inaccessible area.
He generally stays the month and kills his 2 a year with several opportunities. He’s thinking the ADFG bear cull was effective even though it took place quite a ways from his area.

I spent 2 weeks in 17A moose hunting this year and didn’t see a single bear, nor any sign of one. Even with 2 moose carcasses in the area. I was a bit surprised. One exception of course was a small(ish) brown bear eating trash out of a dumpster near Dillingham.

Wasn't there a brown bear culling operation in 17?

I had a 3-year-old try to sneak up on me a couple of days ago at the airport when i was waiting for a float plane.i banged the side of the truck and he took off. Shat himself when he left. Mostly corn. I think a coastie is baiting deer...

Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.
